Version 1.0-draft · Effective 2026-09-06
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of DocuAhead (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle your information.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and DocuAhead. "DocuAhead", "we", and "us" refer to the team operating the Service, reachable at the contact address in "Notices and contact" below. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old, and able to form a legally binding contract, to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide during sign-up is accurate. The Service is not directed to children; see the "Children's privacy" section of our Privacy Policy.
DocuAhead lets you upload documents, uses a third-party AI service to analyze them, and helps you track resulting deadlines with in-app and email reminders. Features, plans, and usage limits may change as the Service develops, and we may add, modify, or remove functionality at any time.
DocuAhead is a personal organization and productivity tool. It is not, and nothing in the Service constitutes, legal, tax, medical, immigration, financial, or other professional advice. AI-generated analysis can be incomplete or incorrect. You are solely responsible for reviewing the original document and independently verifying any extracted date, amount, or required action before relying on it.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at the contact address below if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. We use industry-standard authentication practices, but cannot guarantee that your account will never be compromised through no fault of our own (for example, if you reuse a password that is exposed elsewhere).
You agree not to:
You retain all ownership rights in the documents and other content you upload ("Your Content"). DocuAhead does not claim ownership of Your Content and does not acquire any rights in it beyond what is described here.
You grant DocuAhead a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, and transmit Your Content solely as necessary to operate, provide, and improve the Service for you — including sending Your Content to our AI service provider to generate the analysis you request, and displaying that analysis back to you. This license ends when Your Content is deleted, subject to the residual-copy caveat described in our Privacy Policy's "Data retention" section.
You represent that you have the necessary rights and any required consents to upload Your Content and to have it processed as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
AI analysis is provided as a convenience to help you organize documents and identify potential deadlines — it is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or current, and it may miss a deadline, misread an amount, or mischaracterize a document. You are responsible for verifying extracted information against the original document and for taking timely action on any real deadline, regardless of whether DocuAhead detected or reminded you about it.
DocuAhead does not currently process payments or operate a live paid subscription — any plan, trial, or usage-limit shown in the Service today reflects a free-tier and trial framework only. Before introducing paid subscriptions, we will update these Terms to describe billing frequency, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and related terms, and we will obtain your clear, affirmative consent before you are charged.
The Service relies on third-party providers (currently Supabase, Anthropic, Resend, and Vercel) to operate. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or downtime of these providers, though we select and configure them with your data's security in mind. See our Privacy Policy for how these providers are involved in processing your information.
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and documentation (but excluding Your Content), is owned by DocuAhead or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the Service as intended, these Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service or DocuAhead's branding.
Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information in connection with the Service and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Privacy & Data, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users, and we will make reasonable efforts to notify you where practical. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (for example, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, or that AI-generated analysis will be accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, DocuAhead will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, including reliance on AI-generated analysis or a missed deadline. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including, where applicable, consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction.
You agree to indemnify and hold DocuAhead harmless from claims, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights, to the extent permitted by applicable law. This obligation is limited to claims arising from your own conduct and does not extend to claims arising from our own negligence or misconduct.
DocuAhead's operating legal entity and jurisdiction of incorporation have not yet been finalized, so these Terms do not yet designate a specific governing law or exclusive venue. This section will be completed consistent with applicable consumer-protection requirements in your jurisdiction (including Quebec, where certain venue and governing-law restrictions apply to consumer contracts). In the meantime, if you have a dispute with us, please contact us first at the address below so we can try to resolve it informally.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will update the "Last updated" date below, and for material changes we will provide more prominent notice before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
For any question about these Terms, contact us at docuahead@gmail.com.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and DocuAhead regarding the Service, superseding any prior agreements on the same subject.
